Can Dogs Eat Peanut Butter?


Yes, dogs can eat peanut butter, as long as the butter you give your dog are all-natural brand. As a common human food, peanut butter contains rich proteins, vitamins and quality fat which are very beneficial for dog’s health. 


There are many brands on the market, but the most suitable and safe kind is all-natural and without sugar. If your dog really like the taste of peanut butter, you can also buy some peanut butter flavored dog treats, or spread the butter on dog’s food.

Then how much can you give a dog to eat? The more the better? Of course, the answer is no! According to the size and bread of different canines, the suited amount is also different. 

If you have a puppy or small breed canine, a teaspoon of peanut butter is enough, for larger size dog, a tablespoon at the most. Don’t feed your dog peanut butter every day on a regular basis, no matter how much your dog likes it’s taste, because excess consumption could harm dog’s heath, There are some dogs have and allergy to peanut butter, and may have an upset stomach or even worse, diarrhea after a large quantity intake. 

Besides, the sugar in peanut butter is also harmful for dog’s health, long term and large amounts intake could lead to a lots of health problems, such as diabetes, obesity. 

However, every coin has two sides, so long as your dog is health and has no fat problem, then peanut butter is a very good treat for your dog. But always keep in mind, everything in moderation.
